I went to my first strip club tonight. In Salt Lake City. Two blocks from the temple. I even snuck a girl in that's not technically old enough to go there. I love my menace-to-society status.
My roommate Jordan had his band's first-ever show tonight; the band's kind of a unique mix of different styles: kind of like Ben Folds Five and Maroon 5 were having lunch and Guns and Roses came over to raid the fridge. I thought it was good (although they need a new sound guy: he mixed it all wrong).
Plus, I got to meet his managers and they seemed glad that I was a web designer so that they'd have someone to take advantage of when they needed a web site for the band.
Ok, the band goes through a lot of names and the one they settled on is Carnaby. What do you think of that? I think it's lame, but you should post your opinion so that there can be actual survey results behind my criticism. The other band name ideas they've had are the Pigeons, Solitude, the Fuse, Wax, Sugarhouse, and Red Window.

I think Carnaby is a good name. For sure it's better than Red Window or Sugarhouse. And what was wrong with the sound guy? It's not his fault that the guitar player gets his breaks from Bill and Ted.
Well, it is the sound guy's fault that the guitar was turned up so loud that you couldn't even hear the bass or the keyboards, and it is his fault that the whole thing was turned up so loud that the speakers buzzed.
Was it really a strip club, and was that where the band was playing or did you simply go to a strip club and Jordan's show in the same night?
I don't like carnaby at all. I think Red Window is ok, but the rest of those aren't any good either.
Carnaby reminds me of Cranberry. At least "The Fuse" summons visions of fusion. Cold fusion=cool. Heat of Fusion=boring. Boring=I am capable of carrying it out and can calculate it.
Anonymous=funny person
I vote for Carnaby. -SAM
I thought the strip club was neat and I think that they should all start there own bands.
